NA Employees to Be Trained

Highlighting the continuous development of the capacities of the Staff of Parliament, the leadership of the RA NA Staff, with the support of the International Republican Institute (IRI), initiated a training for the employees entitled Data Management, Communication and Presentation which started on November 22. During the training, the representatives of the Staff will improve their capabilities to work with three Microsoft Office programs (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

The RA NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan welcomed the attendees. He thanked the Chief of Staff, the Secretary General Vahan Naribekyan for initiating a training course, and the IRI partners for the readiness to support the parliamentary programs. The NA Vice President highlighted the improvement of the employees’ computer skills. He highly appreciated the desire of the representatives of the staff to have a command of latest technologies and urged them to use the given opportunity as effectively as possible.

The RA NA Chief of Staff, the Secretary General Vahan Naribekyan welcomed the participants and wished them an effective course. From the viewpoint of raising the abilities of the NA Staff in the IT sphere, he emphasized the importance of holding such trainings.

The Director of the International Republican Institute James De Witt noted that the initiative was made possible with the support of the USAID, through the project “Strengthening Electoral Processes and Political Accountability” (SEPPA). According to James De Witt, the training to be held is part of the cooperation with the RA National Assembly. As the Director of the IRI has said, the course will be useful in terms of increasing the effectiveness of data communication and improving the skills of their presentation.
